Now you be the interviewers...Ask your question on the air!

It's the issues, stupid! No seriously, what issues matter to you this November? This week we want you to tell Senators and Representatives - and as many as 2 million public radio listeners - what matters to you! Tell us if you want to ask your question on the air, and how we can contact you. Go to askyourlawmaker@cncnews.org - and check out Craig Newmark's blog on The Huffington Post and get connected!

As Democrats agonize over a choice between the first African American and first woman Presidential candidate, and Republicans coalesce around a man conservative talk radio loves to hate, pundits dwell on personality, strategy, speculation - the horse-race. But what are the issues that will decide the outcome in November? Voters keep telling pollsters they want change: No kidding, President Bush's poll numbers are at their lowest ever at 30%; and just 22% of you approve of the job Congress is doing. An economy sliding towards recession, an unpopular war, and other challenges: lack of access to affordable health care, illegal immigration, global warming. A lot is at stake.

So that's why CNC thinks Washington lawmakers should hear from you - directly. On the air. In an interactive national broadcast on as many as 200 public radio stations. CNC reaches almost two million listeners, and we want as many of you as possible to ask your questions in this unique call-in.

We're taping in Tuesday February 12th and Wednesday February 13th early each morning - and we'll have Senators and Representatives in the CNC studios on Capitol Hill. If you want to ask a question, make sure you email us at askyourlawmaker@cncnews.org or call us at 202 546 8654. Let us know what you want to ask, and how we can contact you ... so we can call you when we tape!

We need to finalize callers by Monday night.

The show feeds out on Friday February 15th for all public radio stations to use on or around the Presidents' Day weekend.

We'll also be choosing questions coming to us via the widget and website, but again - if you want your voice heard by as many as two million public radio listeners - give us a shout!

And make sure your question is about the issues! The economy, jobs, immigration, health care, Iraq, global warming ... or whatever issue you think voters and lawmakers should be thinking about as they campaign.
