<itunes:summary>
That’s a great question. I don’t know the answer but I’d like to find out myself. That’s a great question. The thing is he may have just been spewing poison and bitterness but it would be interesting to know what he had to say. If he had any remorse for all the people that had been killed and raped and maimed and tortured on his watch. But that would be a good question and I’ll try to find that out. That’s a good question.
</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>
Actually 1.5 million is too much to be receiving farm subsidies. The difference is it was 2.5 million and now it’s down to 1.5 million. And that’s for a couple but $750,000 per individual. I would liked to have seen a huge drop below that but what you find out around here is if you can get big incremental moves like a third lower than that’s heading the right direction and you better grab a one third incremental move in the right direction and keep pushing to get better.
</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>
Mr. Meyer, I voted against the farm bill because I could not see any rationale for the farm bill. I was very upset that we are continuing to pay subsidies to people who make 1.5 million dollars. There’s a lot that’s wrong with the current farm bill. I voted against it. I was one of only three members of the agriculture committee to vote against it. So I don’t think it was a good bill for the United States or for the average citizen. It’s a good bill for a lot of special interests groups but not good for this country.
</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>
It’s my understanding that if people are hired and they turn in a social security number that they are charged or pay social security. Whether or not they ever collect that would depend on whether they ever get legal and are using a social security number that is legal. I am opposed to agreements with other countries that would allow people, for example in Mexico, to pay into their Mexican system and then draw money out of our system or participate in our system. But if a person is working in this country, whether they’re legal or illegal, if they’re using a social security number and paying into the social security system, then I assume that if they can hold on to that social security number, they can get it back.
</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>
One of the problems you have if your goals is democracy is usually runoffs, the history of runoffs, is they produce less people voting in a runoff elections than we’re voting in a regular election. So that people have won runoffs getting fewer votes than they had coming second in a regular election. So if your goal is actually expanding the so called democratic process, runoff elections both in the United States and France have not demonstrated they actually do that. You got to come up with a better way than that.
</itunes:summary>
