The real id law is in the first place is a bad law because it wasn’t properly considered in the Senate and it creates a national id card. I think it would have been better to create s secure card, but the second issue is that it's a massive unfunded federal mandate. The state have estimated that it would cost 4 billion dollars so until the federal government funds the real ID program which will require 245 million Americans to get new driver’s licenses I don’t think the law should be enforced in the states.
